Wor(l)d of Morrissey
We're back! Welcome to the world of Morrissey's lyrics.

This site and all of the work made to keep it updated during the last 26 years are dedicated to my beloved friend MaCa65 who suddenly left this lonely planet
and me without words. Throughout the short stretch of time that we have been given to spend together as close friends, we shared many things,
thoughts, afternoons, views, passions and some bits of Life. Back in 1983, together we discovered a band called The Smiths and together since then, we followed Morrissey's career
as one of the most influential and inspiring singer/artist/poet of our age. Maca65 has always been a strong supporter since when I first launched WoM,
so this is and will always be entirely for you, my friend. -- David

You Must Please Remember

A small boy, big ideas
You must please remember
A long road, with no turn-off
Oh, you must remember

Caught in your headlights
Like a frightened animal
You must remember

Someone cries twice nightly
Of course, I do remember
Someone cries and you think quite rightly so
But you refuse to remember

Caught in your headlights
Like a frightened animal
Oh, you must remember

Oh... Remember, remember
Oh... Remember, remember

Low lights and long nights
I try hard to not remember
And you - too beautiful
I can't look
I've done so very many stupid things
It's too late (to remember)

Oh... Remember, remember
Oh... Remember, remember

Issued as a b-side to "Dagenham Dave" single, this track sees Morrissey talking to a friend, as he tries to help him to remember an obscure nightly car meeting along a road with no turn-off: perhaps the first meeting of a following friendship. The small boy was caught by the headlights of the car and that was maybe the beginning of a relationship.

Tu devi per favore ricordartene

Un ragazzino, grandi idee
Tu devi ricordartene, per favore
Una lunga strada, senza uscite
Oh, devi ricordartene

Lo sorprendesti coi tuoi fari
come un animale impaurito
Devi ricordartene

Oh, devi ricordartene

Oh... ricorda, ricorda
Oh... ricorda, ricorda

Luci basse e notti lunghe
